Anyone know how to get melted butter out of a microfiber ottoman?

My daughter spilled butter on our brand new microfiber ottoman and didn't tell me. She attempted to clean it herself by rubbing it with cold maybe soapy water. It's a pretty big spill.

There's a product called Spot Shot for removing spots and stains from carpet, and upholstery too. I've used it, and it worked great.

What style/kind of rug will look best in my living room?

I got a great shag rug at Wal-Mart for about $70 and use it in my family room over wood flooring. It’s a soft beige color and adds texture and coziness to the room. Go with a shaggy look and choose any color you like…red? sage? If you do go neutral you can always add splashes of color in other ways that are cheaper and easier to change out.
