how do you get melted and then cooled candle wax off a finished wooden bookcase and hardwood floor?
I accidentally had a candle leak wax out, and it pooled on the top of my cherry bookcase and then dripped onto our hardwood floor. Also, we're renters, so we're hoping to leave the least damage possible. Do I re-melt it or scrape it off? Help!

Country Home Decor – Easy to Achieve in Small Rooms With Little Money and a Bit of Imagination
To achieve the country home decor look you need the right colors, accessories and materials. These are not expensive to acquire or purchase at all. If you want to have this look in a small room, do not be afraid of packing it with comfy furniture and pretty pieces that would give you oceans of charm and character. Natural, woven materials team with plain white armchairs, while pretty curtains and colorful paintwork can add an airy, feminine feel.
Pastels are perfect in any room and would give it a French country home decor touch. Paint the walls with a pale green shade, while a nice old looking bookcase and the fire place could be painted with a more minty -green color. Place cream or soft honey color furniture in the room for a great overall effect. A mix of cream covered armchairs and wicker furniture could fill any room for a relaxed, country feel. Why not have the TV stand on an old wicker hamper? Place a basket to hold newspapers and take advantage of any distressed chest of drawers (or any other furniture of the type) to place it in the room in which you want to add the rustic country home decor feel.
Give your fireplace a coat of white paint to brighten it up and help it fit in with the breezy scheme. Add a new wooden fire surround in the same minty-green as the bookcase. This would help provide space for a random selection of cards and photos that add color. If you place a large mirror above the fireplace it will help the room feel bigger.
